the Mecanix were able to turn a somewhat hard-rockish audience into a sea of heads bobbing in time to the steady and sometimes off-beat rhythms left me more than impressed. It also reminded me that music crosses all borders and that good music of any kind is much appreciated, and in this instance there was plenty.

Accompanied by a DJ (whose afro swayed to the rhythms he was spinning and scratching, making him look like a tree in a windstorm), the remaining two members pounded out the rhymes in sheer fashion, at the same time hyping up the crowd for the rest of the night.

"hip hop the old school in comes the new; east to the west we only speakin whats true..."

With An authentic approach to their music it is described as a golden era and true school sound. The classic boom bap vibes mixed with a strong lyrical flow offers the listener a balance of yesterday and today.  Customised fresh Hip Hop that can rock the spot or boom box gives Hip Hop Mecanix their appeal and focus.

these mc's offer a great live show and energy as performers owning the stage and moving the crowd with ease.  Sharing the bill with artists like fishbone, Dj Shadow,

the Smalls and hip hop godfathers RUNDMC the Mecanix have provein this time and again. Currently finishing their new album "Modified" slated for Summer 2019 vinyl release it will be a full length album that is layed out as a testement to their creative style. Shortop, Juiceman and K Rec in full effect will drop an instant classi c and tour it across canada and beyond. Hip Hop Mecanix - Modified - their time has come.
